"In what?" is probably the question most of you thought of as you clicked the link to this journal. And as the mind has the remarkable ability to process multiple thoughts at once you were probably also thinking "Holy explitive, Matt wrote a journal" as well as "WTF is he talking about?"
All silly introductions aside I just recieved my long awaited coat from home, the final draft of my origonal prototype sleeveless trenchcoat. As most of you know I dont like sleeves as I tend to get too warm so a sleeveless coat alows me to stay warm and keep a comfortable temperature. Also, to dispell any thoughts of someone thinking I'm a Larry the Cable Guy follower, I've been wearing sleeveless shirts before I even knew he existed, and although he is funny he's not exactly someone I'd immitate.
I wont bore you with the details of the coats design (if you really want to know you can ask) but I will say that it can double as a cloak which comes in hand if it just gets too cold out.
It's funny what something as simple as a coat can do for your mood. Maybe it's the style, maybe it's the fact that it's my own design, maybe it's the overwhelming coolness of it all, but I think it's mostly got to do with the fact that it's the last project my mom and
I worked on before I left for Japan. And to add sentiment to coolness it's like a hug from my mom every time I put it on which really means alot over here when theres very little left of home to hold on to. I'm enjoying it here in Japan, I've been getting out more and starting to get more adjusted to the culture. But I still get homesick especially with the holiday season. This year deffinately doesn't feel like Christmas but I'm making the most of it. I hope you all are having a good holiday with family and friends, if you're like me and not able to be with them my heart goes out to you.
Anyone else noticed my journals drift all over the place and somehow end up being all mushy? I really gotta stop that.
